Leicester Bhangra Classes
Leicester Bhangra Classes was established in 2015 with a passion for sharing the vibrant energy of Bhangra across the Midlands. What began as a single class has grown into a thriving community that celebrates culture, fitness, and togetherness through dance.
We proudly run classes and workshops in Leicester, Kettering, Coventry, Bedford, Nottingham, and Wolverhampton, welcoming people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.

Kids only, Beginners, Intermediate Classes
Thursday: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Intermediate, Advance, Team LBC Classes
Saturday: 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Women only Bhangra fitness class
Tuesday
Kids only class (Key stage 1 & 2)
These classes are based for kids between 5 and 10 years old. Class starts with a warmup and then stretches. A routine of 4-5 steps is taught and recorded at the end of session. The video is then shared to the parents with personal feedback on improvements.

These classes are based for everyone! Class starts with a warmup and then stretches. A routine of 5-6 steps is taught and recorded at the end of session. The video is shared to you with for personal feedback on improvements. Average calories burn is 500 calories per session, great class for fitness, no previous experience is required, ideal for someone who hasn’t danced before.

Intermediate Class
These classes are based for people who have been coming to beginners’ classes for 2 months and now looking to learn harder steps and challenge themselves. Class starts with a warmup and then stretches. Bhangra routine is taught on a mix or a song. The routine video is shared with personal feedback on improvements. Average calories burn is 400 calories per session, great class for fitness and previous experience in bhangra is required.

Intermediate Class
These classes are based for people who have been coming to beginners’ classes for 2 months and now looking to learn harder steps and challenge themselves. Advance Class
- First Thursday of the month is Giddha only class taught by our very own Baldip Kaur. This is open to both genders and previous experience will help but isn’t necessary.
- Second Thursday of the month is taught by one of our intermediate students to build on their confidence in teaching.
- Third Thursday of the month is our prop class, where we use; kato, kunda and shikha to formulate a routine.
- Last Thursday of the month is where an external professional instructor teaches the class.

TEAM LBC Class
These classes are for anyone who wants to join our bhangra team. Classes will be going over LBC routines and correcting technique, so the team is ready for any future performances.

Women’s only Bhangra fitness class
These classes are based for females only (any age group). This is for beginner level and is heavily based on fitness. The class will start with a warmup and stretches. 4-5 steps will be taught. Aman who teaches us is such a lovely person, very down to earth and friendly. He goes through the routine step by step and breaks it down so that you can pick up each step quite easily.
We all get along with each other and always supportive (especially with anyone struggling who needs help with executing the various Bhangra steps) We are more like a family.

I began as a beginner, having never done Bhangra before, and Bhangra has now become a part of my life, I look forward to attending the classes each week! The instructor Aman takes time explaining the steps and really focuses on how to get the basics right. He makes the class engaging and fun especially with his dad jokes!
